Easter Activities – fun for us all!

Hertford Museum’s Scarecrow Fun Days, organised for the Easter Holidays were a great success and fun too!  
Choosing is difficult at the museum shop! We're taking the museum shop with us on the road to every event we do! Lots of things to choose from to treat friends and family!

We took over Cowbridge Halls and The River Room at The Castle Hall on the Wednesdays either side of the Easter weekend.

Children came along and got crafty making plant pot scarecrows amongst other crafty activities.  There was also a chance for parents and carers to relax with a cup of tea and home made cookies courtesy of Connie!

Tuesday 15 September, 8.00pm Hertford 1900 – How The Town Was Run

Philip Sheail, Museum Volunteer and Friend will give an overview of the Town’s administration at the beginning of the last century.

Venue – Millbridge Rooms

Tuesday 20 October, 8.00pm – How the Friend’s Donations Have Helped the Museum

Curator Helen Gurney will outline how Friend’s donations have helped towards a number of acquisitions. She will also give a sneak preview of the building works.

Venue  – Hertford Museum

Tuesday 17 November, 8.00pm – Researching Hertford Clock Makers – Part II

Jean Riddell will give a follow on to her previous talk about researching Hertford’s clockmakers, bringing us up to date with her findings.

Venue – Millbridge Rooms

January – Winter Break

All talks and tours are free to Friends of Hertford Museum, there is a charge of £2 for visitors.

Hertford Museum Makes Link Magazine’s Front Page!

Hertford Museum has made the front page of Link magazine, whcih is distributed to everyhousehold in East Hertfordshire.

The featured event: Fantastic Fossils and Marvellous Minerals which was held in the MillBridge Rooms, Herford during February half term attracted over 600 visitors.

Inside the magazine on pages 16 & 17  is a feature on all the museums in the distrcit of East Herts, with information about Hertford Museum’s development fund.
